Quote for the Day (Life?)

Lay down the everlasting burden of always needing to manage others. Other people’s faults and quirks and habits and choices are, in the end, a matter between each adult individual and GOD.

When we genuinely believe that inner transformation is God’s work and not ours, we can put to rest our passion to set others straight. My job, in the meantime, is simply to LOVE them.

Great comment- it reminds me of something I read in a "Weavings" article (a Christian journal). The writer talked about how she always gave some money or food to the people on the street who asked for it. Her friends would say, "aren't you just afraid that they'll buy alcohol and waste your money?" She thought about it and, in the article, figured out her act of giving was between her and God- NOT the person she was giving to. she What the reciever did with that giving was between him/her and God.

That, like the quote you've posted, seems to simplify what tends to get extremely complicated.
